Logic Express 9 and Guitar Rig 3 - bug?
installed logic express 9 yesterday and - yup - it's worth all the hype! just one thing that caught my attention, when i load Guitar Rig 3, with a few amps and FX, everything works fine until i try and select another preset. for example: if i want to select a different reverb preset and switch from the default "init" to "nice room" it doesn't work. it took me a while to figure out that you have to hold your mouse down and slide/drag it to the preset you want to select instead of clicking on the drop down menu - release the mouse button - look at preset list - click on the preset you want to select. a bit annoying really but i guess they made up for it by adding other cool stuff!

I use Sonar (and LOVE Guitar Rig). It's amazing how many features are built into these programs, it really brings pro-level tools to the home studio!
ReplyDeleteBTW, did you notice a difference from your bass traps?
oh yes, i was thinking that same thing the other day about how awesome it is that we can now have recording tools in our home studios that people 30 years ago could only dream off. it also made me realize that it's the song that should be good and not just how well it was recorded for the artist to be successful - i wonder what Hendrix would sound like if he recorded today. would it have the same feel/vibe or would it be better... or worse?
ReplyDeletethe bass traps works very well thanks! i do however still have a slight peak at 124hz that i'd like to smooth out but I'm going to add to the bass traps to combat that. i'll have a post up about that soon. i guess it will work like a Helmholtz resonator because i only want to target that frequency.
over and out ...screeching radio noise...
PS:thanks for the follow!
